In order to promote a uniquely South African travel experience to visitors in 2010, the Minister of Tourism has announced a competition to designate the most significant natural feature in South Africa. Each province will nominate one "Wonder" for consideration by the provincial Committee of Tourism Ministers. The winning selection will be specially promoted by the national Department of Tourism and Industry, thus benefiting the province and its people.
